A substantial amount of work of the Re/genT activities consists of testing products according to international standards applied all over the world.
Re/genT has experience with products such as televisions, vending machines, refrigerators, heat pumps, air conditioners, water coolers and dispensers. Energy consumption tests and performance tests are carried out on a daily basis. Re/genT has also facilities to test specific components of these products.
Examples are shown below but please realise that the testing possibilities are not limited to these examples only. For more information please feel free to contact Mr. Patrick Beks (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.).
On the first of April 2018 Re/genT has started its participation in the EU Horizon 2020 funded project called “ANTICSS”, which centralizes "CIRCUMVENTION". For more information reference is made to the recently published press release.
The energy consumption of air conditioning units is becoming an important issue these days. Moreover the products are also subject to energy efficiency and eco design measures. Re/genT has facilities to test according to the EN15411 standard (calorimeter method).
Energy consumption and performance tests on commercial, plug in and remote, cooling cabinets such as ice cream freezers, bottle coolers and vending machines are carried out according to international standards (for example ISO 23953 or AS 1731) or standards developed by ice cream or beverage suppliers such a Coca Cola, Unilever or Heineken.
Television, on mode energy consumption tests according to IEC 62087 can be tested, as well as off and stand-by mode according to EN 50564. Off and stand-by mode testing is also possible for other products with a stand-by or off mode power function. Screen luminance measurements can also be performed.
Re/genT has broad experience in testing domestic freezers and refrigerators and verification of energy efficiency labels. Examples of test standards used are EN/IEC 62552, ANSI-AHAM-HRF-1-2008 and AS/NZS 4474. Measurements performed on a daily basis are standard energy consumption tests, storage temperature tests, storage volume tests, rising time tests and freezing capacity tests.
Besides testing of complete products, Re/genT has also facilities available to test the performance of components. Components can be part of products with a cooling system, but are certainly not limited to this only.
